Fred Galves, an alumnus of School District 60, has officially announced his run for the D60 Board of Education (July 23, 2025). He stated that he wants “every pupil … to at least have the same opportunities he had” as a student in the district. Galves highlighted the demanding nature of teachers’ work and called for enhanced support systems and strategic planning to prepare students effectively for future success.
