Lina Meneses is a lawyer from Chile. She is a highly respected and accomplished expert with 17 years’ experience in international customs, trade law, and trade policy.

Ms. Meneses currently provides legal and business guidance to businesses in Colorado, and throughout United States, which desire to engage in international trade, as well as guiding foreign business investments in the United States. In her recent role as a negotiator within the Inclusive Trade Department of the Undersecretary of International Economic Trade in Chile’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Her impressive lawyering and negotiation portfolio includes significant engagements with stalwart economic blocs such as Korea, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the European Free Trade Association (EFTA), the Pacific Alliance-Singapore, Mexico, several South American countries, and the European Union.

Ms. Meneses also has been an active participant in the technical discussions of several crucial global economic forums, including the World Trade Organization (WTO), the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Forum (APEC), and the Latin-American Integration Association (ALADI). Her consistent engagement in these international trade organizations underscores her dedication to staying on the cutting edge of international trade policy and contributing to multilateral solutions.

Meneses’ academic credentials further solidify her expertise. She holds a Master’s Degree in International Law from the prestigious ISDE (Higher Institute of Law and Economics) at the University of Barcelona, Spain. Her professional journey includes legal experience in alternative dispute resolution and cross-culture negotiation with “Bridge Mediation” in San Diego, California. She also has specialized training in international commercial law from renowned U.S. institutions like UCLA and UC Davis.

Prior to her role within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Chile, she had valuable experience as a trial lawyer in customs, criminal defense, and civil matters, handling cases of national significance, and experience as a criminal prosecutor.
